Born in and based out of NY, Sam Farias works as a freelance photographer, camera operator, and illustrator. A background in various crafts informs a holistic approach to creativity – one deeply imbued with a hunger for understanding and knowledge. Her distinct eye and approach garners a unique and striking body of work in both print and video formats. Getting her start developing black and white film in the darkroom for her high school yearbook, she has since worked her way around the Tri-State area on film sets as a set photographer, camera assistant, and storyboard artist. In coming years she aims to write, direct, and DP the projects in the realm of independent cinema with aspirations of contributing to the films and community that inspire the next generation.
